This paper discusses Lockheed Martin Corporation. Lockheed Martin Corp. landed the biggest Defense Department contract in history when it was chosen to develop a high-tech fighter that's expected to become the main attack plane for the Air Force, Navy and Marines for decades to come. The contract, worth at least $200 billion over many years, is an enormous boost to Lockheed, which expect to capture $1 billion. The Pentagon selected Lockheed as sole developer of the plane, officially called the F-35 but better known as the Joint Strike Fighter.
