This paper will examine the moral issues that surrounded the painting of the Last Judgment by Michelangelo. By understanding his depiction of saints and sinners, we can objectively understand the usage of the Michelangelo's nudes to cause an uproar in the Vatican. The anatomy of Michelangelo, his main talent in this work, was condemned due to the revealing of skin and genitalia, and created one of the great moral controversies in renaissance art.
