This six-page graduate paper describes how Human Resources currently functions as a strategic business partner in two major areas of the organization. The paper makes recommendations on how Human Resources could function more effectively as a strategic business partner. Human Resource departments are closely linked to business strategic plans focused on quality, customer service, productivity, employee involvement, teamwork, and workforce flexibility. The paper discusses a department in the UNC Health Care System, an organization responsible for health care needs of numerous people, has excellent employee relations policies.
