Groups are “a collection of two or more people who come together for a shared purpose. (They have) direct interaction with each other, (their) membership (is) based on common purpose, (and there is) some degree of interdependence.” (Nyatanga) Groups form everywhere, spontaneously and planned, however, it’s within a business organization that these groups and their influence must be understood to ensure that a business is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.
