The Characters of Okonkwo and Tata Ndu: A Comparison of Success in Preserving Traditions.
This paper compares and contrasts the character of Okonkwo from Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart" with the character of Tata Ndu from Barbara Kingsolver's "The Poisonwood Bible". The thrust of this comparison is that Tata Ndu is more successful at keeping foreign invaders from his community than Okonkwo, and therefore works to preserve the traditions of his world in a more successful manner. 5 pgs.
