Criticism of the World Bank at the Turn of the 21st Century.
This paper provides a critical history of the World Bank in relation with post-World War II global economies. It is argued here that the World Bank's influence in international economy is largely orchestrated to privilege capitalist economics, and in particular, American capitalist ideology regarding the distribution of wealth. In this detailed examination of world economics, the role of the World Bank is scrutinized as both a "myth" of global benevolence, and a structure of capitalist institutions that are designed to control global development and manipulate world economics. 40 pgs. 41 sources.
