Specifics about the size and extent of trade are mentioned along with the overall issues interfering with greater normalization of trade relations. These include US agricultural subsidies that undercut Brazil price's of similar goods on the world market. The crux of the present impase, thoogh, is the inisitence that Brazil and its neighboring countries as formed a mini-common market in South America that the Bush administration refuses to negotiate with as a block.
