A Comparison and Contrast of Setting in A Soldiers Home by Ernest Hemingway and How to Tell a True War Story by Tim OBrien
This paper will investigate the settings in “A Soldier’s Home” by Ernest Hemingway and “How to Tell a True War Story” by Tim O’Brien. By understanding the grim relationship between war and home, we can see how these authors reflect the loss of patriotic fervor they had when they had left for war. By coming home, they find a different world, a world without compassion for the experiences veterans has gone through.
