Saint-Exupery's ;The Little Prince; as an Example of Children's Fantasy Fiction. This paper will argue - through an analysis of "The Little Prince" - that fantasy fiction is a vital component of a child's growth toward healthy psychological maturity. It will be seen that Saint-Exupery fulfils this mandate in his work primarily because he never "talks down" to children.
