This research paper is based on the analysis and comparison of two detective stories – And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express written by a well-known writer Agatha Christie. The paper includes many important aspects such as the biography of the writer, the events that influenced Christie’s writings, her writing style and the examination of her stories in detail. All these aspects influence not only on the correct and thorough understanding of the themes of the stories but also on the realisation of the whole detective genre that Christie could embody in her brilliant works.
