Physiology: Processes of Detoxification in the Structures and Functions of the Liver.
This paper describes the basic functions and structures of the liver, with an emphasis on the processes involved the liver's ability to detoxify drugs from the bloodstream. When focusing on detoxification process, this essay will consider the role of alcohol in liver-damage, including the severity of scarring, and cirrhosis of the liver, each of which are a result of excess toxins in the liver.
