This paper is a profile of Claire Jopling, Health Systems Manager. "I sell (negotiate contracts and present clinical information) pharmaceuticals to large hospital systems including Department of Defense hospitals, teaching institution hospitals (medical schools and their affiliated hospitals), the VA hospitals, and I train and assist the local field reps in selling pharmaceuticals to the community hospitals," This profile explains the tasks that Claire does as a Health System Manager. "The pharmaceutical industry has proven over several decades to be a very profitable industry to be involved in." She continued. With a little more thought, Claire and I agreed that many companies spend millions of dollars a year on research alone. With many new discoveries presently being made in biotechnology, hypertension, mental illness, cancer, cardiology and AIDS research, many new products are continuously being developed. All of which are creating new employment opportunities. This paper is descriptive and thorough in giving the details of Claire's job and her reactions during the interview.
