This paper discusses the Kant and his writings. Often the obscurity of Kant's writings can be found in the terminology that he used. The motivation is in trying to understand what he thinks something is false such as idealism or if he truly believed it. Kant's theory is one of empirical realism that is difficult to understand. Yet, most readers find that Kant challenges an individual to think about what he is reading. Kant believed that transcendental idealism and empirical realism were contradictory so they could not be true. Many of his writing may seem contradictory, but he was able to reply to Hume and involve the reader to think about "idealism," and "realism".
