This four-page undergraduate paper examines the issue of God’s existence. The author examines the philosophies of St. Thomas Acquinas, William James, and others in order to express how she developed her belief in God. She notes that Aquinas saw a belief in God and a respect for morality as deriving from human nature and the activities that are objectively suited to human nature. For the author, Acquinas proved the existence of God because the only logical source for the moral imperatives that guide us is a Creator who instilled in us a knowledge of good and evil.
