This ten-page undergraduate paper is about the unbringing of the guardians and Plato's Philosopher-King. Arts and poetry will teach the guardians to be weak, to not face life as a whole. Artists and poets are imitators of reality. And the Philosopher-King must face reality, as he is to make an ideal government of truth, justice, liberation, fairness and salvation. Frivolity and hedonism have no place in guardianship. The Philosopher-King chosen must be able to live by God's Words. 10 pgs. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
