This guide claims the Theory of Forms is true simply because we all seem to sense higher justice or virtue, but can't describe it. This is a very basic argument, but also a good way to understand the theory. The theory of forms is an interesting hypothesis. It contends that there are absolutes that exist in a pure state prior to out existence and that they are images, natures, and characters of what we seek to discover in our lives. Plato believed that there was a pure form of justice and a pure form of beauty and the like and that were these were the only things that we could have true knowledge of. He also believed that they were necessary and important to existence. However, it is apparent that some of the claims he has made might be too far a field, but it is still possible to believe that they do exist.
