Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA Verdi’s opera of eternal love and political duty are sprinkled with a little bit of Disney magic in Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA. Their first efforts together since their work on The Lion King, John’s masterful composing and Rice’s powerful lyrics once again combine to spell success. The story is that of an ancient “love triangle between Aida, a Nubian princess stolen from her country, Amneris, an Egyptian princess, and Radames, the soldier they both love”.
