This paper will first examine Popper's account of falsification and its place in science; this is followed by Popper's reasons for arriving at this conclusion, and some critical consideration of the notion of falsification. This paper will then examine the link between the falsification and the objective probability of a given hypothesis, the link between basic statements and the operation of falsification, and critical consideration to the latter. 12 pgs. 17 f/c. 1b.
