This paper will describe how I learned to speak to my boss, and a situation in my life taught me the value of doing this. When I was an assistant at an optical lab, I was always telling people what to do, but could not listen to anyone in reciprocal fashion. The basic lesson in the story was that I did not listen to my boss correctly and made a pair of very expensive glasses incorrectly. This not only wasted money, but time, and taught me a valuable lesson on how to speak to my boss. In essence, my boss taught me how to communicate properly on what I learned as a public speaker. 3 pgs. No bibliography.
